  1. SetUser is a utility program that will allow a customized
  2. configuration of Windows 3.1 for up to four individual users.
  3. SetUser is run at Windows startup and asks which of the four
  4. users wishes to log in.  Setuser will then change parameters
  5. in multiple Windows .ini files to suit the needs of that
  6. individual user.  When that user logs out, another user log in,
  7. or Windows terminates, SetUser will optionally record all of the
  8. new parameters that may have been established during that session.

  10. SetUser.zip consists of the following files:

  12. setuser.exe    Executable program
  13. setuser.dbf    An empty initial database file
  14. setuser.ini    A default initialization file
  15. setuser.doc    Installation and operation instructions
  16. register.txt    Registration instructions
  17. qevbdbf.vbx    A required library

  19. SetUser also requires VBrun200.dll, the runtime .dll of Visual Basic
  20. 2.0.  This file can be obtained from Compuserve or from any number
  21. of bulletin board services.

  24. This program is not free.  It is shareware.
  25. You are granted a limited license to use this software for a 30-day
  26. trial period.  If you find it useful and wish to continue to use it
  27. past the initial 30-day period, you must register it.  Registration
  28. instructions may be found in register.txt.  Registration may be
  29. made by mail or by Compuserve's on-line registration service.  The
  30. registration fee of $15.00 entitles the user to online support
  31. through Compuserve or Internet, and to notification of upgrades
  32. and fixes.

  36. by all of the files listed above in an unaltered state.
